Feedbacks & After-thoughts

I went through online forums and found out many girls are having the same problem of managing excess numbers of lipsticks. They keep on buying more and leaving the rest unused.

Questions from Andy

1.Who will use it ?

2.Can they really tell the difference between different colors?

Maybe it was asking this question from a male’s angle, but to the most of females, lipstick is essential in their life. Different color of lipstick match different skin tones, social occasions and dresses. So maybe just two similar red to a man or someone who know little of make up means absolutely different to women.

Questions from Jackie

1.Is it suitable to resell lipsticks

2.The ingredients the lipsticks

I understand maybe some industrial ingredients are harmful to human body and environments and I need to research more on that topic.

Generally, it went well. Before the class started I have practiced at least ten times at home. I did not wrote down the whole speech, instead I just use some keywords as a reminder. It is not as easy as it seems to finish each slide in 20 seconds but I tried my best.

Firstly, there are mostly pictures in my presentation instead of words or charts. Because it is not possible to read through so many words or a complicate chart in a short amount of time.

Secondly, I try to tell a story in a humorous way so it can draw the attention of the audience given that they have already seen so many presentations. Thirdly, I narrowed my theme down in a small and specific area. It is within the theme of conscious consumption but it does not have to be the same with other students.

As for what went not so well is that I did not cover enough researches. I tried to talk about my project in a story-telling way which is an interesting way but not so convincing.

Next time I will be including more research findings in my presentation instead of a simple narration. Also I need to speak more fluently.
